What a great 4-day weekend of Christmas with the family! Everyone was here at my house this year, and I am so thankful for that...even if it was a little crowded at times :)

doesn't my gma look good for almost 80?

Tomorrow is the big day when we find out if it's a boy or girl...
as you can see in the picture, Lacey think it's a boy & Mark's guess is a girl!
We had a very emotional Christmas... from the prayer to the presents, everyone was tearing up! There is so much to be thankful for in this wonderful family.

It's a 'memory' picture book of their relationship from the very beginning.
Thursday on Christmas Eve we attended the 7pm service in church here in Gonzales. It's always interesting to be in church with my family, Dad and Mark mostly. They have comment about something (or everything) and always seem to make me laugh at the most inappropriate times.. which leads to Casey getting mad at me for misbehaving.
Friday we slept in and laid around until Casey and I had to leave for his Mama Jo's Christmas in Rockne and then on to Nanny's in Lockhart. It was good to finally get to see all of his aunts, uncles, and cousins again... it's been a year probably.
Saturday was Christmas with his parents here at my house and our big Christmas dinner. We had so much food and so many presents... it was a great time with wonderful memories made! I got some beautiful Pandora earrings, Soma panties (which I highly recommend), the gifts already mentioned in the previous blog, and great socking stuffers. Thank you all so much for everything.... I love it all!
Sunday we had a highly anticipated meal at Whataburger and then everyone was on their way home. I took a quick nap and was re-energized enough to take down all of the Christmas decoration... whew, thank goodness for Casey helping me! Today I have been busy cleaning and catching up on laundry... I sure am glad I decided to take today off from work, I really needed it.
I hope everyone had as MERRY of CHRISTmas as we all did. I am very thankful for the time spent with my sister, parents, grandma, husband, inlaws, and everyone else!
Wow hosting Christmas at your house...I don't know that I am up for that yet. With all the kids I think it would be a little wild for our little house!
ReplyDeleteI loved my black boots so much that I ordered a pair of brown leather ones like yours this morning. They are Steve Madden kids, but don't have the heel! I couldn't find the ones you got, but I still thought $60 for boots is a pretty good deal!
So glad you all had a perfect Christmas! Isn't it the greatest time of the year???
