Last weekend we kept my 4 and 8 year old cousin. We had a fun weekend until illness struck Sunday morning. Kate, the 8yr old, left my house Sunday running 101.6 fever and sure enough, by Monday Casey and I were both calling in sick to work. Not fun! We are both still congested and coughing, but I think overall, we feel much better.
Wednesday of last week I got to drove to Austin to see my sister for the day. She was in town for a teacher convention and I couldn't have her one hour away and not go for a visit. We had a good time, even though I saw her for less than 4 hours.... it was worth it! Anyone else love Abuelo's as much as I do? Their food is absolutely amazing!
This past weekend for Valentines we went with his parents to Austin (again) for dinner at Texas Land & Cattle. I NEVER order beef, much less a steak, when we got out to dinner...but I felt like I kind-of had to considering the name of the restuarant :) It was surprisingly really good, too!
Sunday, on actual Valentines, we got up, Casey went to work, I made breakfast, we went to church, ate a little lunch, and I slept for the entire afternoon. I don't know what came over me, but I was out until dinner time! It was really nice to do nothing at all... I know we are really boring for pratically newlyweds, but sometimes, nothing is better than everything else. We didn't do gifts or anything this year. Casey did surprise me with a single long-stem red rose Sunday morning and a sweet little card.
Yesterday, I went back to Austin (third time in 6 days) to enjoy a day of shopping with my mother inlaw. We were both off from work so we always try to take advantage of those "shopping days". I wasn't really going to buy anything, just moral support for her since she was shopping for new bedding. She got some really nice bedding from WalMart, and I was actually kind of surprised at what a selection they had. We ate at Fuddrucker's and it was soo good. Maybe I"m just obsessed with food.. see a theme here?!? Anyway, we decided, after only a few stores, we were already tired and needed pedicures. I ended up leaving my dang phone at the place and we were almost back on 183 when I realized it... but I am sure glad I did. The lady at the nail shop said "you have three calls" when I walked in to get it... I guess she's my personal secretary.
I got back in time to watch Bachelor last night... anyone else think that Vienna is nasty? He himself said she was immature... come on Jake! Too bad I read all the online spoilers and I know what happens... and yet, I STILL watch it. Hmm.
The last thing I need to mention on this useless post is Baby Ella. I am getting so excited and really looking forward to her arrival. Lacey had a 3d/4d sonogram yesterday and sent me some pictures. Mom actually thinks she looks like me.... poor thing :) Well, anyway, I have to brag and post some pictures... she's so darn cute!
lacey thinks shes about to suck her fingers... another trait she got from aunt kk!
flexing her muscles :)
Isn't she beautiful?
As you can see, she likes her hands up by her face...
Lacey is now 27 weeks and 3 days... I can't wait for May 15th!!!

I read all the online spoilers too! Realitysteve.com! lol! I don't like Vienna either...she's weird looking to me!
