i.love.decorating.

this past weekend i ventured to hamiltopia for kelsi's wedding shower. i got an early start by leaving guntown (as those who dwell here affectionately call it) around noon so mom and i could spend the afternoon decorating the facility. when i say facility, i mean an empty, echoing rectangle just off the square in hamilton. beautiful, but blah.

we were seriously like two little kids with all the pink toole, glass beads and fabric. it was really fun to play interior decorator for the evening. dad even came after a while and got in on the action. come to find out, chandeliers are dad's forte.

the shower went off without a hitch. well... except for mom forgetting to pin on kelsi's corsage until halfway throught the shower. but other than that, it was a fabulous time and kelsi got a lot of really nice presents!

it was great to get to see old friends. makes me miss hamilton even more, if that's at all possible.

sunday was a day of rest at the neie's... with the exception of dad. he had to do inventory in another town. however, mom and i thoroughly enjoyed ourselves catching up on my taxes, baby ella stuff, cooking me some wonderful meals for the week, etc....  we even made it to church at good ole FBC. i hadn't been there in years. it was so good to see those familiar faces!

i actually didn't even get back to gonzales until after 8pm on sunday... which is very late for me! i am usually in bed at that hour. puppy fell quick asleep and hubby was happy i was home.

well, i'm off to enjoy one last meal prepared by mom.... guess, we'll have to eat out tomorrow night :)
