well, it appears i had taken a leave of absence from this here blogging. sorry about that. life gets busy when you have two jobs and you're dog tired all the time.

this week was TAKS (as i know that all of you are well aware!) so i got to sub for the past four days at the middle school here in town... as well as go to work in the afternoons to probation. needless to say, i have been exhausted.

other than the fact that my sister could call any day now and say that ella is on her way, my life is pretty uneventful. i get up, go to work(s), come home, cook, sleep... repeat. my house is even suffering. as of last night, my floors has not been swept in a week... which is a phenomenon in this household. ask my sister.

have i mentioned how desperately i am in need of a FULL time teaching job? i'll drive to kalamazoo if i have to... give me a job.

i've been with the "life skills" class this week and i have to admit that i actually have grown fond of a few of them. today one kid told me to "shut up" because i told him to follow the directions on his paper. ahh, the joys of teaching middle schoolers.

then there is this one kid. he hates going outside because the bugs "whisper" in his ears. interesting.
i told him to talk back. he actually tried it. hah.
we still have yet to master not picking his nose and eating the boogies. yuck!

kids are so funny. you never know what they are going to do or say. i can't wait to be a teacher!

back to ella.... lacey is scheduled for induction may 10th, if she doesn't come on her own before then. my guess is that it'll be sooner. we'll see. strange things happen when you are pregnant. i've learned first-hand through descriptive phonecalls from my sister. it's interesting and disgusting all at once. and it's amazing the things that get left out during health class.
