Oh lordy...

I have lots to catch up on, blogging friends. Anywho, is anyone even reading this here blog anymore? Hah.

Alright, so I teach 7th graders. All day. Long. It's so exhausting, entertaining, frustrating, rewarding, confusing, exciting, stressful, fast-paced, intense... and all those other adjectives. But seriously, I LOVE IT! These kids (well, most of them) are awesome. They say and do the funniest things that I have to restrain from laughing at.

We have only covered 'safety symbols' and 'scientific method' this week so far... and I already feel like they are just 'not getting it'. Therefore, tomorrow is review day. That's the frustrating part. But I am teaching myself patience while I am teaching them Science!

I have 106 kiddos... they are mostly precious, a few goofy, a couple of them are smart-a's, and a handful are just plain mean! But you gotta have a heart for all kinds... and that's the other thing I'm working on :)

This waking up at 5:30am thing is gonna take some getting used to. It's killing me so far. I think it's killing Casey, too. He's had to totally re-think his morning schedule too since I am now "interfering" with his routine. Ugh, men!

Well, there you have it.. a blog about the first three days. I haven't had any dramatic episodes or given any detentions just yet, so it's been pretty uneventful. The only funny thing that's happen is a kid called me a "blonde", like as in "ditsy". I wasn't offended, I agreed with him.

Oh, and the worst part of school... my schedule! I have first period conference, then lunch at 10:45am, and the rest of the afternoon is class!!! I teach 5 periods in a row. Whew. And one of those is inclusion. Can we say ex-haus-ted!?!
