New Kids On The Block!

This weekend was a blast from the past, seriously! Lacey, Courtney and myself attended the NKOTB concert in Dallas... and it was AWESOME. They are everything they used to be and MORE! They are sooo good looking and have really great dance moves still into their 40's. We were impressed.

I flew up to Lacey's Friday morning. The flight was all of 43 minutes, 27 of which were actual air-time. Pretty cool. I flew Southwest and for those of you who HATE driving as I do... FLY! It was relatively cheap, a heck of a lot quicker, and you were exhausted from the drive to or from.

Lacey and I began our L&K weekend (as we call it) at McAlisters for lunch. You see, I had to eat at all the yummy places I could without Casey this weekend because when it comes to eating out, Casey and I don't agree. He hates sandwiches out especially. Then Lacey and I went shopping to Target, Walmart, Payless, etc. We decided after shoppping to go home and try to nap for the big concert that night. YAH RIGHT! We can't nap together... we watched tv and giggled the whole time.

Concert time was supposedly 7pm, but after standing in the heat for 30 minutes, we realized that was just 'gate opening' time. Then some scary people with masks on did breakdancing for about an hour...while we sat in the hot sun. FINALLY around 9pm NKOTB was on stage.

When we were growing up Lacey was going to marry Joey and I was head-over-heels for Jordan. So, I think this picture of the two of them together is perfect. ------->

Saturday we slept until almost noon... recovery is harder than it used to be. Then it was back to shopping, pedicures, lunch at Which Wich, and pool time! That evening we met up with Rhylan and Courtney for SUSHI, my favorite. I love Cowtown Sushi in Southlake and their Mt.Fuji roll... I could eat it every meal. After we stuffed ourselves with sushi, we stuffed ourselves some more with icecream from Milwaukee Joe's. The miserable 5 of us went back to Rhylan's only to watch Mark and Rhylan play the Japanese Mario until almost 1:30am. Congrats on beating level 4.

Sunday Lacey and I needed more pool time, then we ate lunch at PeiWei...another great place. I am quite sure I gained 10 lbs on this trip, but it was well worth every bite!

My plane left Love Field at 3 (actually 3:15 because of a rain delay) and I was back in Austin by 4pm and back in Gonzales by 5pm. !!!Lacey and I had a fantastic weekend together. I'm so excited for "L&K Weekend 2010"
