FALL IS ON THE WAY!

I love how all last week we had rainy, sleepy weather... and now, we are left with cooler temperatures (and really tall grass) that are hopefully here to stay! It definitely feels like fall is not too far away now. Not only does the cooler weather inspire me to do things outdoors... but it always makes me all giddy b/c I am able to decorate for my favorite season indoors, as well. Since today is my day off, I decided to take advantage of the time I had and give my house a makeover (sort-of). Wal-Mart has great seasonal stuff this time of year... here are some of my finds!

Everything on my dining room table (that we never use) is from Wal-Mart. The cornucupia was $10 and it can also double as a wreath. It has a little loop on the back where you can hang it. The small pumpkin on the right was $5 and the little pumpkins and leaves came as a set for $5. The tablecloth is from Wal-Mart as well.. I've had it a while but it was pretty cheap, too!

All of the pumpkins on the left side were purchased at Wal-Mart, as well as the greenery and ribbon! All for under $10. I think I need some sort of light to display it all.. or I might move my scentsy to that shelf. (that might be a fire hazard, hmm)

I love this pumpkin, it's so different! It didn't have a tag on it, so the nice lady at Wal-Mart gave it to me for $5.

And this is a wreath I made about a month ago... using materials all purchased at Wal-Mart. The wreath was $3, sunflowers about $8, and I used some left over craft string I already had. I saw something similar to this being sold for $30, wow!

I also wanted to share some pictures of Halloween past. It's our (mine and Casey's) tradition to carve pumpkins every year. We started this our first Halloween together in 2005. His carving skills far exceed mine... as you can see. I think my mom even gave us a carving kit one year for Halloween! I need to dig that out...

  1. Your decor looks great! I always hit up Hobby Lobby for their half price sales! Jordan and I carve a pumpkin every year too! Last year he carved 4 I think...he even stayed up late working on them...I can't believe it because normally he can't sit still for 5 minutes! lol!
