oh, i know you are all hanging on the edge of your seat, waiting to see what i have done in my classroom lately. yah right. but i'll share with you anyway.... simply because i don't have much else that i find blog worthy.
slowly but surely it's getting there. i can't stand to stay and work for more than a few hours at a time. there is no one up there right now and it's sooo quiet. plus, it's a very old school so it's creaks and cracks a lot and freaks me out! i tried to play music from my iPhone through the computer speakers, but it makes that intereference noise and that's worse than silence!
i was working very hard today, getting a lot accomplished, and then frustration set in with the laminator. i jammed it. dang it. i left a very nice note, though, apologizing to my principal. i hope he has mercy.
on a good note, i finally signed my contract. what a relief. i am officially a classroom teacher! funniest thing of the day is casey asking me how much i was going to be making. i replied "about $2000 a month more than i do right now". quite the raise, huh?!?

ReplyDeletegood thing for you that i'm not allowed in my classroom this summer because of all the "asbestos"...cause i'm sure my room would be looking absolutely fabulous, too! haha...not really! i'm glad you are getting to work on it and get it ready! it looks great! we had to take everything down this year...so i'll be starting with a clean slate...we may be calling you to come help us since you'll be finished with yours!

ReplyDeleteI hope you got some use out of those posters. Your room looks amazing!!! Next year will be a breeze and you won't have hardly a thing to do in the summer... you can enjoy it by the pool! :) Also, I highly suggest you get a radio/cd player. I turned on the radio a lot during projects and worksheets.
