rainy, cold renaissance

brrrr. 40 something degrees, raining, muddy, ick. needless to say it was not really 'my thing' at all. but, for the sake of the kids, i pretended to have a blast. to make matters even more miserable, try riding on a bus for a total of 6 hours that day with 31 giggly, LOUD jr high girls. glad field trips just come once a year :) i would much rather be teaching tropisms in the classroom! hah...

2010-2011 yoakum 7th graders

despite the weather, the kids really enjoyed their day away from school. they were still talking about it on friday and how much fun they had... and really, that's what it's all about!

i failed to mention that two other teachers and myself got "nose rings"... they were fake of course. some of our students saw us just after we had put them in and we convinced them they were real. i told one boy "they were only $1, but the hepatitis was free." obviously he didn't get it when he said "oooh, cool!" and the girl next to him said "well, i can get one too then because i've had my HPV shot". oooh 7th graders.... we have A LOT to leran in science this year, i can already tell :) -- once i get the pictures, i'll post it on here. apparently it's already made the bulletin board at school. ughhhh!
