26th December 4th

OH MY! I'm 26 and 'that much closer to 30'. Actually, I don't feel a bit different. If anything I feel younger because of the comment I received in WalMart today while standing next to dad. An old lady at the register says to dad "oh, what a pretty little girl all dressed up for church!" Ugh, come on.. I'm 26! -- I wanted to shout that at her, but I just smiled like a 13 year old :)

My parents came down Friday for the weekend! I realized I haven't spent my actual birthday day with them since 2005. This was a such a great treat! I love my birthday falling on a Saturday...it was extra special!

We relaxed in our pj's and drank coffee, went downtown Gtown to the holiday market, and decorated my house for Christmas! Last night we loaded up with the inlaws and went to Clear Springs just outside of New Branfels. They have THE BEST onion rings. I ate my weight in fried food last night and it was worth it!

I received flowers from my parents, flowers from Ella, money, a "K" paper weight, a neat pom-pom scarf, VS gift card, my usual strawberry cake from mom, earrings, a pedicure gift certificate from a student, a candle, and lots of hugs!

TWENTY-SIX WAS GREAT!!!!

AND yes, I caught my hair on fire.... seriously!
