If you can't tell, I had a n-a-s-t-y fever blister develop. And after delaying the visit to the dr long enough, I finally broke down one week later (this past Thursday) and visited the dreadful, Gonzales Clinic....two days in a row. First day for the diagnoses, the second day for this unexplained fever blister and "rash" on my tongue -- neither of which my oh-so-intelligent doctor had a miracle cure for! Nonetheless, I did get some superduper antibiotics, some rx sudafed, and a mouth rinse to gargle with. Within 24 hours I was already feeling a lot better!Let me say this: I have NEVER had a fever blister, NEVER. I have always watched my sister and dad suffer and thought sliently "oh thank goodness I dont' have one of those awful things". And... today, the lovely thing is still lingering on my lip!
This past weekend Casey worked 27 hours, all on over-time. Not that I like him being out of the house, I acutally HATE it. I get so scared and whimpy here all alone. I hear every noise, check the doors 800 times to see if they are locked, and call him almost every hour-- on the hour. However, I won't complain on Friday when he'll basically get two paychecks :)
I am also going part-time at my job, which is allowing me to catch up on my blog at this very moment. I will be working 20 hrs at the probation office and (hopefully) subbing the other 2 days I am off. I also need to get about 30 'observation' hours done in the 4-8th grade classroom for the certification program. Working part-time is really allowing me to get my class work done, focus on the certification exams, and ultimately...become a teacher!
This weekend is Dove Fest! We will be making the 3+ hour trek North to be with my family and then back here Sunday night so Casey can work on Labor Day! (crazy!) Then we are going to a cook-out and Casey's going to work cattle, fun fun!
Well, I hope that caught everyone up one my life....I'll try to be more diligent about tending to this thing. Have a great week everyone... it's SEPTEMBER!
And since I mentioned September, I had to share this adorable picture of Casey. This month on the 22nd, Casey will be 25. With the huge help of his parents, we are throwing him a surprise party. (let's hope he doesn't check out my blog). The invitations I sent out had the picture above on the front.....
and this one on the back.
I am really looking forward to the party and hope I don't spill the beans before then. I've done really good so far :)
Glad to see your back. If you still have the fever blister go to a health food store and get calendula gel.
