Lupus Walk.... and other stuff.

This past weekend was our Lupus Walk in Dallas. Our team raised around $1700, and the entire Walk raised around $30k, very exciting! And all donations go directly to Lupus Research. We walked 3 miles around Bachman Lake in Dallas, right next to Dallas-Love Field. The scenery at the lake was beautiful and we watched planes land & take off.... everyone had a good time, but we were ready for the 3 miles to be over. I guess we just are as 'in-shape' as we used to be!

We all stayed at Lacey's Friday night for what we thought was going to be a relaxing night. However, mom ended up spending it in the "Rapid Care" getting her eye looked at, while Lacey, Amy and myself spent the evening in WalMart waiting on them because we didn't want to be around people with the flu. Finally around 11pm the doctor saw her and said she had an infection... ouch! So, across town we drove to the only 24 hour pharmacy and were finally back home before midnight. About mom's eye... she and dad were riding bikes on Thursday and bug flew into her eye. It took her 30 minutes to get it out and when she woke up on Friday, it was swollen and gooey.  Yuck!

Saturday we got up early for the walk, but by the time it was over we were all ready for a nap! After eating at BJ Brewhouse, we all went home and crashed. Lacey and I woke up mom & Amy and we left to go get pedicures. The most amazing pedicures EVER!

Saturday night we stayed at the house. Mom & Amy cooked the most delicious meal. We had ham, mashed potatoes, maccaroni, broccoli salad, and beans... and cheesecake for desssert!

Sunday we had the usual, Andrews, then we were back at the house napping again. Amy, Casey and myself left their house around 3 to head back south. Little did we know it would take us almost 7 hours. How miserable!!!
