Quarter of a Century

Yep, I am  25! And I'm feeling it. I slept all weekend, I have heartburn really bad, and I just feel old... and no, I am NOT pregnant -- I am 25.

With all that complaining out of the way, it has to be said that I had a GREAT birthday weekend. Friday night we went to Seguin, ate Chinese, and saw The Blind Side. What a great movie... it's a must see. Casey even liked it and he usually hates my selection of movies. I was worried I wouldn't really like it all that much because it's a football movie, and I hate football, but it was really nothing about the game itself.

Saturday I slept in until 9:30... late for me. I spent the day cleaning house, doing laundry, and napping. This is when I realized that my age was affecting me. :)  I napped until about 3pm that afternoon then we had to get dressed and go to Luling to pick up Casey's horse that was being "broken"... that was an experience. But that's another blog in itself. We hauled the horse to his parents, where it will stay for a while because it's a little injured...again, another story. His parents took us to Nancy's in Bastrop for dinner -- ahh, I love Nancy's -- then his (UPS driving) dad lead us on a Christmas lights sightseeing tour of Bastrop. There are some really extravagant decorations there... one was even in sync to a radio station!
This was night #2 that we were up past our bed time. Not a good thing for us aging 25 year olds :(

Sunday the weather was absolutely a mess... and cold. It's sad to say, but I couldn't even force myself out of my pajamas to go to church. I even went to the grocery in my jammies. I told Casey we looked like two homeless people walking around HEB. We put on a pot of beef stew, he laid on the couch the rest of the day, and I worked on my final project for class. Not a great way to spend a Sunday, but at least I was in my warm home, with my hubby, and had good food to eat :)

Here's a quick list of all the wonderful presents I received.....
  • beautiful flowers from my mama and daddy delivered to work
  • vera bradley lunch tote
  • $20 from nanny and papa
