still alive... and doing well.

and can't wait to post next week on my FIRST WEEK OF SCHOOL!

this week we have been busy at inservice learning about bullying, retirement, gifted/talented students, spanish-speaking students, recycling, being a team player, technology, etc.... seriously, the list goes on and on and my head may very well explode any minute. the 'first day of school' procedures are a little overwhelming. so if i can survive monday, i think i'm in the clear!

tomorrow we have the whole day (after a quick meeting at 8am) in our classroom. which, at this point, is very much needed. i have my laptop, elmo, and projector all set up, now i just need a printer. oh, the funny things that happen at YJH. oh yeah, i need air conditioning too. that would help. yes, we don't have any... and we may not  have any by school time next week either! they have ordered 3 fans for each of our rooms, just in case.

SOOOO, my first week of school story could be quite humorous about how all of us were walking about in shorts and tanktops b/c it's 85 degrees in the school!
