friday the 24th began our festivities for the christmas holidays. we spent the evening and night at casey's parents, going to church, opening presents, and visiting with friends. we had a great time with them and loved our goodies santa brought us. amy cooks the best stew and cornbread - the perfect christmas eve meal!
saturday morning we were up (not so bright and early) and off to hamilton to have christmas with my family. we enjoyed a lazy afternoon around the house, topped off with presents galore! once again, we got some great loot!
casey and mark went home on sunday and lace and i stayed the week. i had a great time teaching ella to say "kk"... although she communicates it as "tay tay". either is fine with me... i just love hearing her say it!
monday i was hit (once again) with the upper respiratory crap. this makes trip #3 to the doctor since september with the same issue. ugh! i think i'm allergic to myself! today is the first day i have felt human again. *edit* scratch that, i woke up today with an earache!
thursday evening we met mark half way to drop lacey off so she could get home in time to ring in the new year with friends. mom, dad and i came to gonzales last night and never even saw the new year in... we were in bed before 10! what has happened to me?!?
i'm glad to be back home and sleeping in MY bed; however, i do miss the family already! we had a great time and we are very fortunate to be able to have so much togetherness at the holidays... and fun watching ella be a completely adorable little doll!
