girls weekend in fredricksburg!

the second weekend of april my two best friends from high school (and life) met me in fredricksburg for a girls weekend... which was L O N G overdue. we had a great time chatting until the wee hours of the morning, sipping wine, eating great food and enjoying being together again. i didn't take many pictures of the weekend, although i did actually remember my camera. kelsi was the photographer of the trip, but has been a little busy, so i'm patiently waiting to see them. when she does, i'll update the post.

we went to the german restaurant friday night when i arrived in town and kelsi decided she hates german food... not brynnan and i, we scarfed it down! after dinner we went to the locals bar in town, had a few beers, and called it a night.

saturday was spa day! we had 1 hour massages and pedicures at a cute little spa. we all got to be together in the same room for the massage... which was quite interesting. brynnan's moans and groans kept us entertained :)

saturday afternoon we walked main street shopping, eating icecream, and then did a little wine tasting. i won kelsi over as a wine lover by making her try a riesling.. which she loved! brynnan is a little more hard-core than kelsi and i about her wine drinking and tasting... she likes the dry, bitter stuff! Yuck!

saturday afternoon we really showed our age... we went back to the cute little B&B we were staying in and took a nap from 4:30 - 8:45 that night! we woke up and decided to go to a wine bar that our "landlord" (owner of the B&B) owned. we ate cheese and drank wine until midnight then headed over to a locals bar for cheeseburgers and bloody marys & beer. we finally got back to the room around 1am and put in a movie. well, about 30 seconds into the movie we started gabbing and just turned it off. we talked until after 3am; all-the-while brynnan drank 1/2 of her new bottle of wine without even noticing. needless to say, she kept getting funnier and funnier as the hours passed.

sunday we had a great breakfast back on main street and then did a little more shopping. kelsi got a beautiful zebra chair at a great price, too! then we hugged and said our goodbyes. it was a fantastic weekend with beautiful weather & the best of friends... can't wait to plan next years trip!

this picture made kelsi and i laugh. we all left the store where kelsi bought her chair to go pick it up from the loading dock. well, i went with kelsi in her car and brynn took off in her own. kelsi and i though brynnan had left town and when we arrived at the loading dock we find this! we died out laughing!!
