I cannot believe it's already been one year since I got the call at work around 4pm, jumped in my car, drove 4 1/2 hours going 75+ mph all the way to Denton and met my beautiful niece! That was certainly an exciting day. I was so lucky to be able to share that first week of her life with her as well. What a smart, energetic and funny 1 year she has become. I love her laugh and smile, how she doesn't know a stranger, her petite little body that is ALWAYS on the go, how she waves hello/goodbye to everything (including bath toys), lets me rock her to sleep, calls me "tay kay", giggles when i tickle her, screams when she's excited, mimics coughs (which her mommy HATES), her chubby little hands, both of her teeth, and
EVERYTHING about that little girl. I could go on and on forever... but above all, I am simply in love with her. I hope and pray my kids have that Ella's charming personality, beautiful olive skin, abundant energy and big brown eyes!

ReplyDeleteOh Kaley, you made me cry. You are celebrating Ella's first birthday and I will be celebraing Rylee's graduation and 18th. Enjoy every minute because I would sweart that it was yesterday that Rylee was 1. And yes, your children be just as special. I had the same concerns and Lacey will love them like you love Ella.
