What bad economy?

Yesterday my mother inlaw and I set out to Austin for last minute Christmas shopping. We were mainly shopping for people on her list, but as it always ends up, I came home with more presents for myself :)

We hit up Bealls, Cavendars, The Doggie Store (of course!), and then Barton Creek Mall. Oh what a nightmare....from the parking lot to the bathrooms, that place was packed. My mother inlaw joked "what would happen if someone were to yell BOMB or FIRE?"... we would all be tripping over one another. I honestly don't think I have ever seen a mall that crowded... and I think the esclators were feelin' it too, they were dragging.

There were great sales everywhere, and as a result of that we looked like two REALLY compulsive shoppers with our many bags around our arms. At one point we had to steal the buggy the workers use at  Old Navy to carry all of our stuff!!! - So this brings me to my point... and I said it over and over again yesterday too... Judging by the long lines at checkout, are we really in as big of an ecomony slump as we are told? I think NOT! At Victoria Secret I stood next to a lady who spent $600 just on 'PINK' attire .... wow.
Enough of that, I'll show you my great finds :)

$12 shirt... bad picture of it, but it's really cute in person.

$3 sweatshirts at Old Navy. I got 4 of them!

Casey's Chirstmas shirt, on sale for $30, that goes well with his new black hat from his parents.
I'll make sure to get a picture of him in full attire on Christmas day :)

This little beauty of a candle holder was FREE.
The lady at Bealls forgot to charge my mother inlaw for it.
It's one of my Christmas gifts from her.
The candle inside smells like Heaven, I'm quite sure of it.

And these are by far the best deal of the day.
Steve Madden leather boots.... only $44 at Nordstrom! (they are kids boots)
Another Christmas gift from my mother inlaw :)

I got several other bargains, but didn't take time to photograph them. I hope everyone else has a great Christmas and Santa brings you everything you wished for and more! Be careful traveling.

I'll have the whole family here at my house starting on Thursday evening... can't wait!
