first off...this time change has really thrown me off. i wasn't home when it happened so when i did get home a week later and half of my clocks were off... it REALLY confused me. but my body is just not feelin' this time change thing either. i want to go to bed early at night, but the sun is still up! i NEED to get up early in the morning, but the sun is NOT up. very confusing for this little girl.
now, back on topic.

i took a few days off from work and left gonzales en route to hamilton, to leave for lanata. confusing, i know. stick with me... i got in with mom and dad in hamilton and rode with them the last couple of hours instead of making the trek up 35 all by my lonesome. since cows don't get a spring break, thus neither does my loving husband. friday through wednesday i spent at lacey's house... gearing up for ella's arrival in may. i cleaned closests, dusted, vacuumed, swept, mopped, scrubbed bathtubs, organized... you name it, i did it. since lace is now pushing 32 weeks of pregnancy, she is basically out of commission as far as physical acitivity goes... she's out of breath and gets tired very easily. but i must commend her on an excellent job of supervision :) meanwhile, mom worked on the bedding for ella's nursery. it turned out just darling.

saturday lacey had a shower at a tea room, downtown denton. it was a lot of fun and very cute. thanks to libby (lacey's sister inlaw) and courtney (rhylan's wife) for doing an excellent job on everything! baby ella got a lot of cute outifits and great gifts! mom has already managed to wash and hang all the new outfits in her closet. that made it very real, she will be here before we know it!

sunday through wednesday were spent cleaning and organizing closests and getting things together to either donate or trash. we actually did end up donating a whole truck load of goodies to lacey's church for their garage sale. when we went to drop off the items at the church there were 4-5 yr olds playing on the playground. one very cute little girl with a big voice saw lacey and announced " *GASP* she's gonna have a a baaaaby ". it was the cutest thing in the world... we all busted out laughing.
we worked hard every day, with the exception of monday. we met "aunt vicki", one of lacey's good friends, for lunch at macaroni girll and then did a little shopping. it was shopping for good reason, such as organizational things, baby stuff, etc.... but none-the-less, it was still shopping. we didn't get back until dinner time... needless to say, we didn't get a lot done at the house that day.
dad went home sunday evening so he could be at work monday & tuesday. when he arrived back at lacey's on tuesday evening, he had a surprise for us... grandma! for those of you who do not know, Ella is named after her -- that is her middle name. we were so excited to get to see her and spend some time with her!

wednesday evening we drove back home to hamilton. i was there long enough to catch some shut-eye and then i was back on the road at 7:30am thursday morning! my husband missed me terribly. some may say he has separation anxiety... i'm just glad to know he loves me so much. he even took off a half day yesterday and spent the afternoon with me at home! and i know one puppy who really missed her daddy!!
oh. and i have to throw this in....
i drove by jake pavelka's house (the former bachelor who is now on DWTS) probably 3 times... or more. he lives just around the corner from lacey. a light was always on, but i never saw activity. then, go figure, within 30 minutes of me leaving lacey's house on wednesday, who does she see at the red light???? JAKE!!! ugh. one day, ladies and gentleman, i WILL make contact with him and ask him all the questions on my mind!
so, i really had a great SB 2010, even if i did spend it cleaning closests and bathtubs... at least i was in great company :) how did all of your spend your SB 2010?
Wow...you all were quite busy! I love all of the decorations for Ella's room!!!
